雅加达(法新社):当地政府周日表示,印尼中部发生山体滑坡,已造成至少 19 人死亡,2 人失踪。

当地灾难机构负责人苏莱曼·马利亚表示,周六晚间,南苏拉威西省塔纳托拉贾县两个发生山体滑坡的村庄已转移死者和两名幸存者。

JAKARTA (AFP): At least 19 people have been found dead and two more are missing after a landslide in central Indonesia, local authorities said on Sunday.

The dead and two survivors were evacuated from two landslide-hit villages in Tana Toraja regency, South Sulawesi province on Saturday evening, said local disaster agency head Sulaiman Malia.

当地减灾机构14日通报,该县连日来的强降雨引发两次大的山体滑坡,第一起发生在13日23时,导致多间房屋及周边居民被掩埋。约半个小时后,另外一个地点也发生类似事件。事发时,很多居民正在熟睡。

在官方已经确认并公布的15名遇难者名单中,包括多名儿童及未成年人。南苏拉威西省首府望加锡的减灾机构证实,此次山体滑坡还导致2人失踪。

印尼国家抗灾署称,山体滑坡是由当地土壤条件不稳定,加之高强度降雨引发的。当地减灾机构正与搜救队合作,搜寻失踪的居民。

联合搜救小组主要面临雨势大、地形复杂、夜间照明不足等困难。通往受灾地点的道路上还有多处山体滑坡,车辆难以通行,工作人员只能徒步到达现场。(完)

18 killed as landslide hits Indonesia’s South Sulawesi

JAKARTA (Xinhua): Eighteen people were killed, two others injured and several others missing after a landslide struck South Sulawesi province in central Indonesia on late Saturday night.

The Head of Operational Unit of the provincial Disaster Management and Mitigation Agency Amson Padolo confirmed the incident to Xinhua via phone on Sunday.

The search and rescue team was still looking for victims who might be trapped in the landslide.

Sulawesi has been hit by several dangerous landslide over the last few months.

In February, landslides hit a section of road connecting Luwu regency and Palopo city in South Sulawesi trapping at least 23 people with five victims found dead.
