The parade starts of the Christmas season in Auckland and delights thousands of children and their families.
Over 250,000 people gather to watch the parade festivities each year, with 280 Christmas creations following a route from Mayoral Drive, through Queen Street, Customs Street West and Albert Street.
If the weather is bad, parade cancellation will be announced on Newstalk ZB after 10am on the day. The parade will still go ahead in light rain.
